Belief drives behavior
We unconsciously work to justify our beliefs. What you believe drives how you behave. Whatever you believe has the ability to manifest in your life. Because your belief system is the collection of things you believe to be true, those parts of you that are operating in an unconscious manner are always trying to justify these things you believe to be true. As hard as it is to admit, your own belief system can actually be working against you without you ever realizing it.
Your belief system draws to you those things, experiences and people which fit into that system. If you believe that something horrible will happen, then the chances of it occurring are greatly increased. In fact by believing it you are actually helping it to happen. Now that you know that you can consciously combat that fact, which means that you can choose to not believe any of the negative possibilities. Instead you can work — and, depending on how bleak the scenarios you’ve imagined, it does take work and commitment — to redirect that energy into imagining the best possible outcomes.
You are the cause of all you experience
Consciously or unconciously, you ask for and cause all of the events of your life. You do not need to be a victim of your circumstances, but instead you can have great power over what you experience in your life. Once you understand how much you ask for and cause the events of your life, you will be better able to achieve your goals. How do you cause it all? Because you act out what you believe.
What we believe
What we believe determines how we live
The Beginning
There are two things that determine the kind of life we lead. The first is where and how we are born, i.e., the time period, family situation, physical characteristics (gender, handicaps, etc). Once we are born, the second thing that determines how our life progresses is our belief system. Simply stated, what we believe determines how we live. Until you understand and accept that fact, you will be a product of your beliefs without even realizing it. What does this mean? It means that whether you are rich or poor, healthy or ill, happy or forlorn, what you believe has caused these experiences.
